What it is

Physics, mathematics, programming, thermodynamics and circuit analysis lead to electrical machines for renewable sources, power engineering, heat transfer and control theory, with topics on solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, heat pumps, biomass, fuel cells, energy storage and nuclear fundamentals. You train in laboratories with Siemens and ABB equipment and in the storage and smart grid centres, with mandatory placements at energy companies, visits to power facilities and a final project. Two tracks are offered, Smart Electric Power Systems or Sustainable Thermal Energy Systems. Graduates work as renewable energy integration specialists, thermal energy engineers or digital transformation specialists.
