- Tuition (EU/EEA)
- There is no EU or EEA fee category in Australia and no reciprocal arrangement with Denmark. Commonwealth Supported Places, the subsidised domestic rate, are for Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents. An EU/EEA student pays the full international fee.
- Living cost
- The Department of Home Affairs requires evidence of AUD 29,710 in living costs for twelve months for a single student - about AUD 2,476 a month. Home Affairs states plainly that this is the visa minimum and that actual living costs vary across Australia and may be much higher.

●●●●○○○
- Region
- Western Europe
- English-taught bachelors
- Limited. Belgium teaches its bachelor's degrees overwhelmingly in Dutch (Flanders) or French (Wallonia and Brussels), and Flemish legislation restricts how much of a bachelor programme may be taught in another language. A realistic expectation is a few dozen fully English-taught bachelor programmes nationwide, concentrated in business, international relations and some university-college programmes. The English-taught offer widens dramatically at master's level. No official count of English-taught bachelor programmes is confirmed here.
- Tuition (EU/EEA)
- Flanders: 1,181.40 EUR for a full-time year of 60 credits in 2026/27 (University of Antwerp publishes this as 305.40 EUR fixed plus 14.60 EUR per credit; Study in Flanders gives the same 1,181.40 EUR figure for EEA nationals). French-speaking Belgium: a four-tier means-tested scale from 2026/27 - 0 EUR for grant holders, 374 EUR for students of modest means, 835 EUR for the intermediate category and 1,194 EUR at the full rate.
- Living cost
- 800-1,000 EUR per month in Flanders, of which accommodation is 450-600 EUR. Brussels is more expensive than Leuven, Ghent or Antwerp.

- English-taught bachelors
- Scarce. Several of the largest universities offer none at bachelor level, and the national set is small enough to enumerate. Master’s level is a different picture entirely, which is the source of most of the confusion about Norway.
- Tuition (EU/EEA)
- No tuition at public institutions. A small compulsory semester fee applies.

Full-time Polish-taught study at a state…
●●●●○○○
- Region
- Central Europe
- English-taught bachelors
- Substantial, spread across many universities.
- Tuition (EU/EEA)
- Full-time Polish-taught study at a state university is free for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens by law. The law lets universities charge anyone for English-taught study, so the EU fee is each university's decision. Wrocław Tech and Poznań Tech charge EU citizens nothing, and the University of Warsaw and Warsaw Tech waive the fee on some programmes. AGH, the Jagiellonian and SGH charge EU citizens the same as any student from abroad.
- Living cost
- Roughly 450-800 EUR a month all in, for a student living in a dormitory in Warsaw or Krakow. The official national portal says 1,500-2,000 PLN a month, which it converts to 330-430 EUR, but that page states no year and its dormitory figure of 400-600 PLN is contradicted by the Jagiellonian's own 2026/27 dormitory rates of 670-1,270 PLN. At the September 2026 exchange rate, 1,500-2,000 PLN is 345-460 EUR.

- Concentrated rather than widespread, and named rather than general. Yonsei UIC (sixteen majors), KAIST, POSTECH (for international undergraduates since Fall 2026), UNIST and GIST teach undergraduates in English; Korea University's Division of International Studies, Sungkyunkwan's Global tracks, Ewha's Division of International Studies and Kyung Hee's College of International Studies are the English-medium entry points at otherwise Korean-medium universities. No national total is given here.

There is no EU/non-EU split in Switzerland
●●●●●○○

- Central Europe
- English-taught bachelors
- Rare at public universities - USI Lugano has three and St Gallen an English Assessment Year; otherwise at small private institutions.
- Tuition (EU/EEA)
- There is no EU/non-EU split in Switzerland - the split is between students with Swiss residence or citizenship and everyone else. A student moving from Denmark counts as a foreign student, whatever their EU/EEA passport. At ETH Zurich that means CHF 2,190 per semester (about €2,330 at the ECB rate of 24 September 2026) rather than CHF 730.
- Living cost
- About CHF 1,840 a month in Zurich: ETH puts rent, food, transport, health insurance and personal costs at CHF 22,100 a year, or CHF 28,100 including its foreign-student tuition and study costs. Lugano, St Gallen, Fribourg and Bern are cheaper.

- All of it.
- Tuition (EU/EEA)
- Since Brexit most EU, EEA and Swiss citizens pay the international fee, set per university and subject (Glasgow 2027/28: GBP 28,275 arts, GBP 33,708 science). In England you pay the Home fee with settled or pre-settled status, or, for autumn 2027 (the last intake it covers), as an Irish citizen or a UK national living in the EEA or Switzerland since before 2021 who meets a 3-year residence test. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland set their own rules.
- Living cost
- University of Edinburgh estimates GBP 1,546 per month for a single undergraduate living in Edinburgh. London is higher; the Home Office assumes GBP 1,529 per month in London and GBP 1,171 outside London for visa purposes.

- Everything. The question is not whether the degree is in English but whether you must prove your English.
- Tuition (EU/EEA)
- Not applicable - the United States does not have an EU/EEA fee category. As an international applicant you pay the international or out-of-state rate everywhere.
- Living cost
- Not published as a monthly figure. American universities publish an annual 'cost of attendance' that already includes housing, food, books, transport and personal expenses - see the tuition figures above. UC Berkeley's 2026-27 estimate for housing and utilities in an off-campus apartment is 14,386 USD for a nine-month academic year, about 1,609 USD a month.
