What it is
You start with mathematics, programming, discrete structures and object-oriented programming, then graphics and visualisation, computer architecture, databases, human-computer interaction, networks, Java, software engineering, internet technology and AI applications. From there you follow one of three tracks: software systems (mobile, IoT and cloud), artificial intelligence systems, or business informatics. Teaching combines labs, applied research with industry partners, term papers, a final-year practicum under a mentor and a bachelor thesis. Graduates work as software developers, architects, data analysts and project managers in start-ups and government, or continue to a master's in informatics or computer engineering.
