6 faculties: what each looks for

What it asks of IB students

ANU converts your IB total to an entrance rank: 31 points is rank 80, 33 is 85, 35 is 90, 38 is 94, 41 is 97. Each program sets its rank and some add prerequisites. Results go to ANU through the IB.

Where it says so

Worth knowing

IB students are encouraged to apply through UAC, where they may receive subject adjustment factors; applying direct to ANU gets none.

All 3 notes
  • IB students are encouraged to apply through UAC, where they may receive subject adjustment factors; applying direct to ANU gets none.
  • Program prerequisites are written in NSW and ACT terms (for example HSC Mathematics Advanced 'or equivalent'); ask ANU what IB course counts.
  • International students starting in Semester 1 are guaranteed an offer of on-campus accommodation.
