What it is
A broad historical and systematic training in philosophy, with logic, critical thinking and close reading, at the Institute of Philosophy, home to a major philosophy library and the Husserl Archives; you add a minor in liberal arts, education or theology.
What you need
- Reading and writing assignment, CV and motivation letter. English test (IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90); the IB does not exempt you.

Every IB applicant at KU Leuven
The IB Diploma gives access; no points minimum is published. It exempts you from an English test for most programmes if at least half your courses were in English. No 2027 deadlines yet.
How places are decided
- You read a short academic text and answer questions on it, and send a motivation letter and CV; admission rests on your academic potential. An English test is required.
