- Faculty of Engineering: English, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus and Maths; one general first year, then you apply to a specialization.
- Faculty of Science: English, Maths, two of Biology, Calculus, Chemistry or Physics and one more subject; specializations may add prerequisites.
- Faculty of Arts: English plus four subjects across humanities, fine arts and sciences (one fine art); a broad range is encouraged.
- Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences: English, Biology, Chemistry and Maths for most direct-entry degrees, plus one more subject.
- Faculty of Nursing: English, Biology, Chemistry, Maths or Calculus and one more subject; spoken English proficiency is also required.
- Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation: English plus humanities, science and maths subjects; Biology is recommended for the recreation, sport and tourism degree.
