What it is
You combine reporting, media theory, digital media, visual journalism, film and marketing with foundation courses in history, politics, sociology and psychology. Hands-on work includes the student magazine Lennon Wall, internet radio through Soundbricks, and articles produced with Radio Prague International. A compulsory internship has placed students with Radio Free Europe and Czech News Center, and a thesis closes the degree. Extended major courses let you lean toward writing, media studies, film, photography or digital media. Graduates work in print and web media, publishing, cultural management and nonprofit organizations.
