What it is
Physics is combined with mathematics and computer science, covering mechanics, electricity and magnetism, optics and theoretical physics. Laboratory courses include laser technique, electron microscopy and the structure of solids, and you work with computer algebra systems and study plasma physics. Five specialisations are on offer: plasma physics and thermonuclear fusion, physical engineering of materials, solid state engineering, laser technology and photonics, and computer physics. Graduates work in research laboratories and technology development in fields such as semiconductors, photonics, automotive and telecommunications.

- B2 English certificate required: Cambridge B2 (e.g. FCE), IELTS 5.5, TOEFL at B2 or TELC B2.

CTU says IB Diploma holders skip its assessment and nostrification: send certified copies straight to the faculty. Each faculty sets its own test or interview; none asks for IB points.
How places are decided
- No entrance exam in 2026: the Dean waived it, so applicants with a school-leaving qualification and B2 English were admitted. 2026 criteria; 2027 not yet published.
