    Details

Foreign qualifications are normally checked by uni-assist before a university will consider the application. uni-assist says a result usually takes 4 to 6 weeks and asks you to apply at least 8 weeks before the deadline. Starting late is a common and avoidable way to miss an institutional deadline.

What it is

Aircraft and spacecraft engineering taught in English, mainly at the Ottobrunn/Taufkirchen aerospace campus with a day a week in Garching in years 1–2; later you pick two focus areas such as propulsion, structures or fluid dynamics.

What you need

  • German A2 by the deadline (German B HL counts). 8-week pre-study internship, proof by 31 Oct 2027 or within year 1. A 2-page English statement of reasons.

Every IB applicant at Technical University of Munich

Your six IB subjects must meet the KMK rule; uni-assist converts your IB to a German grade (VPD). Nobody is ranked: five degrees use grade-based aptitude points with an interview or test band, three are open.

How places are decided

    • IB grades
    • Interview
Aptitude check (2026/27 rules), no ranking: 80+ points from grades (overall 50%, maths ×3, science ×2, English) admits you; 71–79 means an English interview.
