What it asks of IB students

Last year's cut-offs: 30–32 IB points, by degree.

Where it says so

Worth knowing

RUC's structure is the thing to understand before applying.

All 5 notes
  • RUC's structure is the thing to understand before applying. You apply to a broad programme, not to a named subject. Year one is a shared interdisciplinary basic studies section; years two and three are spent on two bachelor subjects you choose at the end of year one. Your degree title is the combination.
  • Because the subject choice happens after you arrive, the entry requirements listed here are for the programme as a whole. Individual bachelor subjects can carry additional requirements — RUC publishes these separately under 'Additional specific admission requirements for bachelor's subjects' (https://ruc.dk/en/additional-specific-admission-requirements-bachelors-subjects). Check the subject you have in mind before you assume you qualify.
  • About half of all study time at RUC is group project work rather than taught classes and written exams.
  • RUC states hour minimums as well as levels for each required subject, for example English 210 hours, Mathematics A 375 hours, Chemistry 190 hours, Biotechnology A 400 hours, Geoscience A 400 hours. If your IB subject hours fall short you may be asked to supplement.
  • The guaranteed-admission GPAs quoted here are 2026 figures and are not the same thing as a quota 1 cut-off; RUC does not publish quota 1 cut-offs for these programmes on its English pages.
