What it is
The course starts with law, political theory and the history of international relations, then adds comparative political systems, public international law, geopolitics, international political economy and climate governance. Later years cover international organisations, security, European Union institutions, regional studies of Africa and Latin America, trade and investment, and end with a final project. Language training runs for up to four years, work placements are available, and you can spend a semester at a partner university. Double degrees run through programmes in the Americas and Asia-Pacific. Graduates work in diplomacy, international organisations, think tanks and consultancies.
