What it is
A demanding, research-led science degree taught entirely in English: a broad first year, then a double major in Mathematics with Physics, Computer Science or Economics, ending in a research thesis.
What you need
- Maths HL (AA or AI)Analysis and Approaches preferred.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science HLThe page asks for at least one other science at Higher Level.

Every IB applicant at École Polytechnique
Maths HL (preferably AA) and at least one other science at HL. No minimum grades; English C1 by IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 90 or Cambridge 176.

How places are decided
- Holistic: grades (above all maths and science), personal statement, CV and two references; shortlisted applicants get a 50-minute remote interview.
