What it is
A flexible science degree for interests that span several subjects, including at least one science. You combine Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Computer Science and more, with optional Anthropology, Business, Geography or Philosophy. A year abroad or placement can extend it to four years.
What you need
- IB Diplomaat least 37 points
- Biology, Chemistry, Maths AA or Physics HLOne HL science; some subject choices name grades and subjects
Requirements in full
Every IB applicant at Durham
Offers are a total including three HL grades, from 31 (555) to 38 (776); an AAA course asks 36 with 666 at HL. Some courses name HL subjects and grades.
How places are decided
- Offers depend on the subjects you combine; your whole UCAS application is read. Most Durham courses use no admissions test. You also join a college.
