What it is
Enter the business school without a major: three terms of broad business foundations, then a choice from nine BBA majors and more. Around 70% of students add a second major or minor, and extended majors in AI, arts or sustainability exist.
What you need
- No specific subjects for school-based entry; majors such as Economics, Finance and Quantitative Finance ask for Maths.
Requirements in full
Every IB applicant at HKUST
No minimum total is set; the middle half of 2026 entrants had 35-41 points. Subjects are set per programme; IB English A needs grade 4 (English B: 4 at HL, 5 at SL). Your coordinator sends predicted grades.
How places are decided
- Apply to the school without a major, or to a major directly. Interviews are held for some programmes.
