Published as "1 August" with no year, twice: the application-information page lists "Step 8 Submit final diplomas and certificates by 1 August", and the admissions-requirements page says Corvinus "accepts the following proof of English language proficiency (minimum equivalent B2 level) submitted no later than 1 August". This site assumes the 2027 intake. Comfortable for an IB candidate - the diploma is issued in early July - but it is the last gate before enrolment, and an offer is conditional on it.

What it is
Year one covers philosophy, global history, economics, introductory international relations and social research methods, with training in persuasion and academic writing. Year two adds world economics, post-1945 history, international law and the geopolitics of the USA, UK, Europe and international organisations. Year three covers security studies, global political economy, China, Russia, the Middle East, India and Latin America, with a thesis seminar and a compulsory internship. Teaching uses simulations and case projects, and you choose from six specialisations including European Studies, World Economy and Hungarian Political System. Graduates go into diplomacy, international organisations, NGOs and the international departments of companies.
What you need
- Decided on a 10-15 minute online interview (knowledge, skills, motivation); no maths or subject requirement. IB English SL 5 or HL 4 covers the English proof.

The IB Diploma is named as accepted: IB English SL 5 or HL 4 covers the English proof, and Maths SL 5 or HL 4 replaces the maths entrance exam. No GPA or subject minimum; admission is on exam or interview points.
How places are decided
- Scored out of 100 in a 10-15 minute Teams interview on motivation, verbal skills and career plans; the Dean sets a points threshold each year.
