Published with its year: "the application period starts on 1st November 2026 and the application deadline is 30th June 2027 for the academic year 2027/2028 beginning from September 2027". Pécs adds the sentence that makes the opening date matter: "Since admission is continuous, the earlier you apply, the more spots we can offer." There is one intake a year. It is on the online-application page (https://admissions.medschool.pte.hu/application-form), as of 23 September 2026; the page on the same site titled "Deadlines & Requirements" publishes no deadline at all, so look for dates on the application page.

University of Pécs - entrance exams, every WednesdayDetails
Published with its year: "Entrance exams are organized each Wednesday between 3rd March and 14th July 2027." The window runs weekly, not continuously - there are twenty Wednesdays in it and you sit one of them. Register two weeks in advance. Exams can be sat in Pécs, in Budapest at McDaniel College, or abroad through representative agencies, and there is a 250 USD (about €220 at the ECB rate of 24 September 2026) entrance exam fee on top of the application fee.

What it is
The course trains nurses for prevention, treatment, nursing and rehabilitation across health and social care, covering individual, family, community and public health. You study anatomy, pathology and the causes, symptoms, treatment and prevention of illness, and subjects such as basic health care, internal medicine, paediatrics, geriatrics, surgery, obstetrics, community and chronic disease nursing, anaesthesiology, intensive therapy, neurology and psychiatry. Demonstration exercises with lifelike instruments teach blood sampling, infusion therapy and patient examination. Graduates can move to a 1.5-year master's leading to advanced practice roles in intensive, emergency, primary or gerontological care.

- IB Diploma exempts from the English test, but the Faculty still tests your English by online test or interview.
Requirements in full
Every IB applicant at University of Pécs
The full IB Diploma is required (single certificates are not accepted) and exempts from the English test, though Medical, Pharmacy, Health and Engineering applicants are still tested. No IB exemption from medical exams.

- Documents, B2 English and a motivation letter are assessed; the Faculty of Health Sciences also tests English by online test or interview.
