What it is
You combine biology, chemistry, physics, technical sciences and economics with specialist food science and food processing technology, choosing between compulsory courses and electives. A placement outside the university and a thesis complete the degree. Graduates work as laboratory managers, in quality assurance and auditing, or as product developers and production managers in food manufacturing. Other options include the pharmaceutical sector, animal feed production, regulatory authorities or a private food business, and a master's follows naturally.
