What it is
Modelled on the Oxford PPE idea, the degree joins philosophy with economics, politics, history and law, pairing a logical and philosophical approach with the social and economic sciences to make sense of global, political and cultural questions. You read demanding texts, learn to put forward solutions to current problems, and attend a public lecture series with visiting scholars. Exchange semesters abroad and internships are available, and a double degree exists with University College Groningen. Graduates work in analysis and consulting, public relations and policy roles in agencies and international bodies, or continue to master's programmes such as Economics and Finance or Comparative International Relations.
