What it is
The degree combines agricultural science and food technology, agri-food business and value chain management, sustainability and environmental impact, and food safety, quality and regulation, with a focus on Italian food systems such as dairy, meat, cereals and horticulture. You learn processing and preservation, quality control, certification, regulatory compliance and supply chain economics. Teaching is hands-on, with a sensory lab, case studies that follow the whole food chain from farm to table and applied training from farming to business strategy. Piacenza lies in Emilia-Romagna's food-producing region. Graduates are prepared for roles in sustainability, quality assurance, compliance and economic strategy in the food industry.
