What it is
After a foundation of mathematics, programming in C and Python, algorithms and databases, you study machine learning, software engineering, big data processing, cloud computing and image recognition. In the fifth semester you choose between two tracks: electronic systems, with microcontrollers and signal processing, or software systems, with deep learning and natural language processing. Lab work and integrated design projects run throughout, a semester-long company internship comes in year four, and the degree ends with a bachelor thesis. Graduates become machine-learning, deep-learning or computer-vision engineers, big data architects or analytics developers, and can go on to doctoral study.
