What it is
Design studios form the backbone of the five years, moving from architectural fundamentals, drawing, history and BIM to projects on community, technology, context, heritage and innovation. Alongside them you study theory and composition, urban form, GIS-based urban analysis, tectonics and heritage protection. Studio work uses sketches, computer models and scaled models, with intensive workshops on real briefs, field studies of heritage sites, a two-month internship in a design firm and a master thesis. Graduates work as independent architects, in private firms and in public planning and heritage bodies, and the degree is recognised for regulated practice in the EU.
