What it is
After mathematics, physics, mechanics and engineering graphics, you study aircraft aerodynamics, structures, materials, functional systems, engines, instruments and flight dynamics. In the middle years you pick electives such as unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopter engineering or space technology. Teaching uses labs, course projects in aircraft design and finite element analysis, and a long internship in an airline maintenance setting, followed by a bachelor thesis. The curriculum is aligned with EASA Part 66 licensing requirements. Graduates work as aircraft technician-mechanics, design specialists or aviation safety regulators, or continue to master's study in aerospace engineering.
