    Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

Every date in the Netherlands

What it is

Year one introduces comparative politics, international relations, the politics of social problems, research methods, statistics and political thought, with visits to political institutions and Model United Nations exercises. Year two covers global governance, global political economy, the EU in the global order, and quantitative and qualitative research projects, plus Social Science for Society electives with sociology and communication science students. In year three the first semester is free for study abroad, an internship such as at an embassy or NGO, or a minor in social sciences, economics or law. The second semester is a Graduation Project Global Politics.

What you need

  • Full IB Diploma meets the entry rule. English: an English-taught or bilingual IB, or English A Lang & Lit SL 7/HL 6.

How places are decided

    • Everyone eligible is admitted
    No cap: meet the requirements and you are admitted. Apply in Studielink by 1 May and complete your VU application.
