    UiO's own admission page for applicants who cannot document Norwegian proficiency. UiO states "You must submit all documents before the application deadline, or your application will not be considered", so a May 2027 IB candidate cannot document the Diploma in time: this route suits a student who already holds it. The financing documentation the page demands does not apply to Norwegian, Nordic and EU/EEA citizens.

What it is

How to design and build complex technology systems, in renewable energy, space, robotics, cybersecurity or health technology, through labs and projects that link engineering with social science, law and the humanities; 30 credits are yours to choose.

What you need

  • Any IB Mathsminimum 3 · Norwegian R1 level; Samordna opptak accepts AI SL through S1+S2.
  • Physics HL, Chemistry HL, Biology HL, Computer Science HL, Design Technology HL, Maths AI HL or Maths AAminimum 3 · A science at Norwegian 1+2 level (HL), or maths at R2 level (AA, or AI HL).

Needs maths at R1 plus a science at 1+2 level: Maths AA (SL or HL) or AI HL covers both. Still at school? Apply via Samordna opptak, which needs Danish, Norwegian or Swedish A, or Norwegian B HL.
