What it is
The first year builds foundational sciences, the second turns to mechanical design and control engineering, and the third focuses on aerospace topics such as introduction to aerospace, materials in aerospace technology, mechanics of flight, aircraft engine design, aircraft design, aeronautical systems, risk and reliability in aviation and rotorcraft aeromechanics. Design work uses integrated CAD/CAM/CAE systems, and the last half-year is supervised work on the engineering thesis. You choose between two specialisations: Aerospace Propulsion Systems, and Aerospace Structures and Systems. Graduates are prepared for the aerospace industry, airlines, other industries and research institutions working on aircraft and spacecraft.
