What it is
A common core of maths, physics, chemistry and computational thinking at the Group T campus, then chemical, electromechanical or electronics-and-ICT engineering technology, learnt through projects that end in designing an embedded product.
What you need
- For 2027-28: the OMPT-G maths and science test at 60%, or with an IB the starting test in Leuven in early July (compulsory, not binding). SAT and ACT are no longer listed.

Every IB applicant at KU Leuven
The IB Diploma gives access; no points minimum is published. It exempts you from an English test for most programmes if at least half your courses were in English. No 2027 deadlines yet.
How places are decided
- With an IB you can skip the OMPT-G test by sitting KU Leuven's starting test in Leuven in early July: taking it is compulsory, but the result does not decide admission.
