What it is
The four years start with fundamental sciences and basic professional courses, then move to specialised courses and design projects in which you choose electives to match your interests. Content centres on structural design, load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures, building services and construction technology. A three-week internship at a civil engineering company adds practice, and the degree closes with a bachelor's thesis. Graduates work as structural designers in concrete, steel, timber or masonry, or as construction managers, and can continue to master's programmes in English or Czech.
What you need
- Written maths test in Prague, which cannot be waived. English: your school-leaving exam in English, a B2 certificate, or proof your school taught in English.

CTU says IB Diploma holders skip its assessment and nostrification: send certified copies straight to the faculty. Each faculty sets its own test or interview; none asks for IB points.
How places are decided
- Ranked on a 70-minute, 15-question maths test (no calculator); you need at least 8 of 20 points. 2026 criteria; 2027 not yet published.
