What it is
The first years teach general, inorganic and organic chemistry, cell biology, human morphology, pharmaceutical botany and physical pharmacy, then medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy and toxicology, followed by clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology, quality control and pharmaceutical care. More than half the classes are practical, and internships grow from two weeks to four, ending in a 20-week pharmacy internship that can be done abroad, alongside the diploma thesis. Graduates work as pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, bioanalysts, researchers or in pharmaceutical production, and can continue to doctoral study.
What you need
- Online biology and chemistry test (40 of 80), or none with 30 IB points incl. 11 from HL Bio and HL Chem; IB exempts from English.

Every IB applicant at Masaryk University
Masaryk accepts the IB Diploma directly as proof of secondary education, with no nostrification. Each programme sets its own test, interview or documents; several waive English for IB students.
How places are decided
- Pick an online test date in the e-application; results within two working days. Up to 60 admitted. Waiver from the 2026/27 terms; 2027 not yet published.
