What it is
The first two years are theoretical, with anatomy, biology, biochemistry, biophysics, histology and physiology plus compulsory Czech language. Pathology, microbiology and pharmacology follow, and clinical teaching in internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, neurology and public health comes next. The sixth year is entirely bedside training in internal medicine, surgery, and gynaecology and obstetrics. Teaching follows a traditional Central European model, with study-abroad options at partner universities. Graduates go on to specialisation, research or doctoral study.
What you need
- Entrance test in biology, chemistry and physics or maths; English test unless your schooling was in English. No grade minimum.

How places are decided
- One written test, online or in Olomouc, once a year. EU citizens can also sit the late-August dates. About 80 places. 2026 criteria; 2027 not yet published.
