What it is
The degree gives knowledge and skills in geoinformatics, geoinformation technologies and geography, and it is taught fully in English with follow-up master's and doctoral studies in the same field. Graduates find work in companies large and small or in public administration, for example as web mapping application developers, data analysts, database specialists or specialists in collecting and distributing geodata.
What you need
- Ranked on your penultimate-year school average (Czech-style marks) and an online English test, 21 of 50 to pass (B1); a B1 certificate is needed unless you studied in English.
Requirements in full
Every IB applicant at VSB-TUO
VSB accepts a certified copy of the IB Diploma with no CZK 800 assessment fee. It asks for no IB points or subjects; each faculty ranks on its own test, or on a school average plus an English test.
How places are decided
- Points = 25 x (5 minus your average) plus the English test; best totals fill the places. 2026/27 rules; 2027/28 not yet published. Ask FMG how IB grades convert.
