What it is

Make art and think about it: studio work in painting, sculpture, film, writing, performance, sound and more alongside the shared core, ending in a capstone that pairs a creative work with an academic thesis.

What you need

  • Up to 10 samples of your artistic work, uploaded with the application. No German needed to apply; you must show intermediate German by the end of year two.
Requirements in full

Every IB applicant at Bard College Berlin

The German BA needs an IB that meets Germany's KMK rule (six set subject groups, a 4 in each); BCB publishes it as an IB sheet. English at C1, waived after a year of English-taught school.
