Foreign qualifications are normally checked by uni-assist before a university will consider the application. uni-assist says a result usually takes 4 to 6 weeks and asks you to apply at least 8 weeks before the deadline. Starting late is a common and avoidable way to miss an institutional deadline.

What it is

Computer science with a business-informatics slant at TUM's Heilbronn campus: programming, algorithms, networks and maths, then electives in informatics and management, to design IT systems from the sensor to the business model.

What you need

  • German A2 by the deadline (German B HL counts). Taught in English with some German electives. A 2-page English statement of reasons.

Every IB applicant at Technical University of Munich

Your six IB subjects must meet the KMK rule; uni-assist converts your IB to a German grade (VPD). Nobody is ranked: five degrees use grade-based aptitude points with an interview or test band, three are open.

How places are decided

    • IB grades
    • Interview
Aptitude check (2026/27 rules), no ranking: 73+ points (overall grade 65%; maths ×3, English, best science 35%) admits you; 60–72 means an interview, usually by video.
