What it is
The first year covers drawing, design basics, representation systems, light and colour and computer-assisted drawing; later years add design studios, construction materials and systems, retail and domestic design, public spaces, lighting and electrical design and refurbishment techniques. In year four come digital fabrication, scenography, furniture, garden and landscape design, exhibition design, project management and a final project. Learning is project-based, with 3D modelling and rendering, a FabLab, model workshops and a virtual reality lab, plus a mandatory professional internship. Graduates work as interior designers, project managers, design directors and retail consultants in studios and architecture firms.
