What it is
The course builds the cognitive, mathematical and algorithmic foundations of reasoning and learning, then moves into natural language processing, computer vision, data analysis, robotics and autonomous agents, along with the ethical, legal and social side of using AI. Teaching is hands-on, with project work and case-based projects carried out with companies, and two nearby research centres, the Computer Vision Centre and the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, are involved. Faculty come from several university departments. Graduates design and run AI applications in public administration, healthcare, finance and media, work in project management and consulting, or go into research.
