What it is
Industrial engineering and economics are studied together, beginning with mathematics, physics, chemistry, programming, introductory economics and game theory, then mechanics, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics. Electives range from applied machine learning and optimisation to computational marketing and experimental economics. Taught in English, it includes innovation projects in placements at companies and a bachelor's thesis, and continues into a master's in industrial engineering. Graduates supervise projects, plants and technology centres in energy, chemicals, automotive and robotics, or work in strategic planning and quality management.
What you need
- IB via UNEDasiss (grade 5–10), then Catalonia's pre-enrolment. Only PAU specific-phase or UNED PCE exams lift it towards 14; IB subject grades on the credential do not count.
