Global Studies

The degree studies the cultural, economic, legal, environmental, political, social and technological forces of a global society from a transdisciplinary angle, with attention to challenges such as climate change, migration, artificial intelligence, economic crises, war, poverty and pandemics. The first two years are in English, with three compulsory courses in a further language chosen from Chinese, Arabic, Russian, French or Spanish, and later electives can be taken in English, Spanish or Catalan. A stay abroad is compulsory in the third or fourth year, with a double degree option with an Australian university, and optional internships range from government bodies and the European Parliament to think tanks and companies.
