What it is

You study mathematics, statistics, computer science, numerical methods and programming, then specialise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, matrix calculus, optimisation and partial differential equations, with minors such as software engineering, energy economics or business management. Teaching combines lectures and exercises with company visits, projects, extensive laboratory work and a bachelor's thesis. Mathematics and computer science are merged to solve practical problems with algorithms and data analysis. Graduates work as data analysts, data scientists, machine learning engineers and AI specialists, and can move on to the master's programme in data-centric engineering.
