Published as "the 21st of August the year of application", with no year; this site assumes the 2027 intake. Semmelweis lets you apply and sit the entrance exam while still in your final year - "Those who have not yet received this certificate can also submit their application and take the entrance examination" - but "The final deadline for uploading the Matriculation Certificate is the 21st of August." Your IB Diploma is issued in early July, so the gap is about six weeks; the risk is not the date but forgetting the step exists.

What it is

The degree combines social, medical and pedagogical sciences: pedagogy, psychology, IT, a foreign language and conductive pedagogy in year one, then neurology, communication and medical biology, with legal and ethical aspects and rehabilitation in the last year. Practice classes start in the first week, and in the final year nearly every second class is practice with real children, using the faculty's own practice areas. In the second year you choose nursery school education, primary school education or pedagogical rehabilitation. Graduates work as conductor teachers in multi-professional education, rehabilitation or health settings, including adult rehabilitation for conditions such as Parkinson's disease.

An aptitude exam is required, and the programme starts only if at least 10 students enrol.

No IB-specific rule: entry is Semmelweis's own entrance exam and interview (oral exam for health BSc). Final-year students can apply and upload the IB certificate by August.
