Published as "the 21st of August the year of application", with no year; this site assumes the 2027 intake. Semmelweis lets you apply and sit the entrance exam while still in your final year - "Those who have not yet received this certificate can also submit their application and take the entrance examination" - but "The final deadline for uploading the Matriculation Certificate is the 21st of August." Your IB Diploma is issued in early July, so the gap is about six weeks; the risk is not the date but forgetting the step exists.

What it is

The first year covers health-science basics including anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, oncology and public health. You then study the functional analysis of the musculoskeletal system, electrotherapy, cardiorespiratory and internal-medicine physiotherapy, orthopaedic and neurological work, and physiotherapy for specific age groups including children. Small classes, a mentor system and well-equipped skill labs support the practical side, with clinical placements throughout and extended fieldwork and a thesis in year four. Graduates work in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centres, sports medicine, home care and wellness, or progress to the physiotherapy master's.

What you need

No IB-specific rule: entry is Semmelweis's own entrance exam and interview (oral exam for health BSc). Final-year students can apply and upload the IB certificate by August.
