Published as "the 21st of August the year of application", with no year; this site assumes the 2027 intake. Semmelweis lets you apply and sit the entrance exam while still in your final year - "Those who have not yet received this certificate can also submit their application and take the entrance examination" - but "The final deadline for uploading the Matriculation Certificate is the 21st of August." Your IB Diploma is issued in early July, so the gap is about six weeks; the risk is not the date but forgetting the step exists.

What it is

You begin with anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and microbiology, then move into applied chemistry, toxicology, public health engineering, environmental health, food hygiene and safety, epidemiology and prevention of communicable diseases, occupational health, chemical safety and radiation health. Training in clinics and public health institutions is practice-oriented and supervised by tutors, and the fourth year is field practice and a thesis defended at the end. Graduates work in regional public health administration, hospital hygiene, industrial and agricultural inspection, multinational companies, health insurance, occupational health and health promotion, or continue to a master's.

What you need

No IB-specific rule: entry is Semmelweis's own entrance exam and interview (oral exam for health BSc). Final-year students can apply and upload the IB certificate by August.
