The degree rests on three pillars: mathematical tools (analysis, geometry, probability, statistics and numerical calculation), modelling through physics, including quantum physics, and economics such as game theory, and computation through theoretical computer science, algorithms and programming. Machine learning and computational statistics sit on top of that base, with an emphasis on rigorous theory as well as application. Teaching includes group work, business cases, talks by practitioners and discussion. Graduates can continue to a master's in AI, applied mathematics, computer science, data science, physics, economics or finance, or work as methodological experts in mathematics, modelling and AI.
Full IB Diploma, 24+ points with 12 at HL, TOK, EE and CAS passed; no subjects required. An IB in English meets the English rule. Predicted grades are not used.
