What it is

The degree joins biology and computer science or information engineering. From the first year you take mathematics, physics, statistics and chemistry alongside the structure and function of living systems at molecular and cellular level, then genetics, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, programming and the design of software systems, with plenty of credits given to lab work. Internships in companies, public bodies and laboratories and study periods at other universities are part of the design. Graduates work as technical staff, researchers or analysts in biomedical research, health services and biotech or pharmaceutical firms, running systems for clinical and bioinformatic data, or continue to specialised study.

What you need

  • CEnT-S test (any score above zero) for pre-selection.
