What it is
The degree gives advanced training in Earth science with modern techniques: remote sensing, satellite data processing, geographic information systems, drone technology and basic modelling, applied to climate change. Classroom teaching is combined with practical activities, and typical courses in an Earth science degree include geology, geophysics, mineralogy, oceanography and atmospheric science, with fieldwork. The aim is to build professional skills for working on the complex phenomena of climate change. Graduates usually go into environmental and geoscience consulting, monitoring and public bodies, or on to a master's degree.
