What it is

Mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering drawing and CAD lead into aerodynamics, aircraft types and systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, aviation materials, avionics and aviation engines, with thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, structural integrity, human factors and air law alongside. Learning is problem- and project-based, with student projects such as a flying aerodynamics laboratory and a human-powered aircraft, laboratory work with licensed aviation professionals, and a final-year internship. You choose between Aircraft Design and Aircraft Technical Maintenance. Exchanges include IPSA in France and Limerick. Graduates work as aircraft designers, aeronautical technologists or hybrid electric aircraft developers in design, repair and aerospace companies.
