Mechanical Engineering

You start with chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering mechanics and materials science, then study mechanisms and machines, machine elements, mechanics of materials, CAD/CAE, cutting processes and 3D and laser manufacturing technologies. In the later years you choose one of three tracks: alternative energy equipment, environmental protection equipment, or machine design. Teaching combines labs and design course projects, an eight-week internship after the third year, and a two-semester bachelor thesis built around a prototype. Graduates work in machine design, production and assembly, energy organisations and research institutions, or start their own design and production firms, and can continue to doctoral study.
