    Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

Every date in the Netherlands

What it is

Year one covers electronics fundamentals, programming and mathematics, with you building working devices such as volume controllers, metal detectors or vending machines; year two adds signal processing and power electronics. Teaching is mostly project-based, with team prototypes, lab work and a portfolio rather than many exams. A work placement in year three and a graduation internship in year four sit around a minor, and in year four you specialise in Electronic Systems, Embedded Systems or Innovation Engineering. Graduates become designers, advisors, test engineers or embedded software engineers in fields like electric vehicles and medical devices, or go on to a master's such as Digital Technology Engineering.

Every IB applicant at Fontys

The IB Diploma is named as giving access. Many programmes also want satisfactory maths grades, engineering also physics or chemistry, with no IB grade set. An IB Diploma usually exempts you from an English test.
