Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
The first year covers marketing, finance and accounting, supply chain management, human resource management, personal and intercultural development, business communication and an additional foreign language. You work through integrated business cases and simulation games in which you run a company. The second year takes you abroad for a semester at one of 120 or more partner universities and a placement at an organisation outside your home country. In the final year you act as a consultant for an external company, choose electives in marketing, finance or HR, and complete a graduation project on a business problem. Graduates become marketing, finance or project managers, consultants or entrepreneurs, or continue to a master or MBA.
Two ways to take it
| Path | What is different |
|---|---|
| 4 years | The four-year BBA. Hanze says IB Diploma holders may take the 3-year version instead. |
| 3 years | The three-year BBA, for VWO-level diplomas such as the IB Diploma. |
What you need
- For VWO-level diplomas such as the IB Diploma. Applying from May on means a compulsory Study Choice Check.
Requirements in full
Every IB applicant at Hanze
The IB Diploma meets the HAVO-level entry for 4-year programmes and counts as VWO-level for the 3-year ones. It also exempts you from the English test.
How places are decided
- Not selective: meet the requirements and you are admitted. EU/EEA: apply in Studielink by 15 August. Applying from May on, a non-binding Study Choice Check is compulsory.
