Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
You study modern and contemporary visual art forms, from painting, photography and installation art to video art, bio-art, games, performance and digital media art, and how art relates to society and to the role of media in that relationship. The programme also links art to fields such as science and politics, and brings in sociology, cultural representation, cinema and contemporary media studies. You gain hands-on experience through research projects, field trips to museums, galleries and media institutions, and guest lectures by artists, scholars and scientists. Leiden gives easy access to museums and galleries in The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and the degree prepares you for academia or the public or private sector.
What you need
- Full IB Diploma required (not certificates); send grade 11, November grade 12 and predicted grades. English-taught IB or English A HL waives the English test. Science programmes set HL subjects.
