Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
You study the Dutch language, from beginner to advanced level, together with Dutch culture, history, society and ways of thinking. Classes are in Dutch from the first semester, so you learn through immersion and alongside Dutch students, in the historic city of Leiden, an international centre of Dutch studies. A one-year option combines language modules with electives such as Dutch Painting and Dutch Debates. Graduates can teach Dutch, work for international organisations connected to the Netherlands, or continue to a master focused on Dutch language or culture.
What you need
- Taught in English and Dutch, for international students; open from absolute beginner in Dutch to advanced.
