Not an official deadline. With a Dutch address you log in with DigiD, which the government says takes about five days. Without one you upload a scan or photo of your passport or EU identity card and Studielink verifies it automatically. Either way, do it well before 15 January.

What it is
The first year builds on physics and mathematics, chemistry and biology, and looks at molecular processes from a biomedical angle: how cells work in health and disease and how multicellular organisms function. You learn through lectures, seminars and hands-on lab experiments in high-tech research facilities. Ten years after graduating, those without a PhD tend to hold managerial roles in technological settings, while PhD holders move into specialist positions with management responsibility or research roles at universities in the Netherlands and abroad.
